Travel

Hopefully you will all have made your travel arrangements, decided whether you are driving or flying.
Myself and some of the Organising Committee will be travelling out in a minibus with all the equipment, we will be having a little tour round Europe to try to minimize costs. Going via Luxembourg for the cheap fuel, (€0.92 for diesel and €1.00 for petrol) then onto Germany for the toll free roads, and overnight stop. Then into Switzerland to catch the car transporter at Vereina before heading through the tunnel into Livigno, again refuelling with yet cheaper fuel.

There are some links below to help.

Once you get to Klosters in Switzerland you will need to catch the train at Vereina, as the Pass will be closed.

Having left the train you will find the tunnel to Livigno, I recommend you check the times as they change at the weekend to cope with the changeover in Livigno, although, you’ll see on the website that the tunnel is now open 24hrs.

It is also possible to take a train from Milan to Tirano, where you can then catch a bus to Bormio, this is a little more involved, especially if you’ve got all your kit.
